Seventh Sunday after Epiphany
Musician Sea Raven Morse
For Meditation and Reflection:
“God, wake me from the fog of my low expectations. Help me shake off the world’s despair, its pointless habits, desires, and attachments, its broken busyness, and the downward spiral of judging, consuming, and protecting myself. Give me the courage to trust that you are moving and acting, the courage to embrace the unimaginable. Give me the urgency to act, for now is the time, and the patience to wait for every moment.” ~Steve Garnass-Holmes

Thoughts for the Day/Week
“We need to look at Jesus until we can see the world with his eyes. Christ is the light that allows people to see things in their fullness. The precise and intended effect of such a light is to see Christ everywhere else. In fact, that is my only definition of a true Christian. A mature Christian sees Christ in everything and everyone else. That definition will never fail you or allow you to reject or exclude anyone. It will always demand more than you intended to give — which is the point of the Christian life: not to distinguish yourself from the ungodly, but to stand in radical solidarity with everyone and everything else.” ~ Richard Rohr
